Kissing Frogs

Have you ever felt like there’s nothing but frogs in the pond and you’ve kissed them all? Maybe not literally… But it does feel that way sometimes. At our age, I think we’ve been there and done that. At some point, you start to think it’s time to just walk away from that pond.

I’m glad I didn’t. I’m cautious and I take things slow. Honestly I’m not even sure I was really looking anymore. Then I got a message that was original and genuine. It was response worthy. After a few days, it was becoming obvious that he was interesting and someone I looked forward to talking with. We met for coffee. Just coffee. We talked about anything and everything and lost track of time.

Just in case that was a fluke, the second time we met was still just coffee. It was even better.

I was honestly fine with my cats and my plants. This caught me by surprise. And I couldn’t be happier about it.

Here we are, excited to see where this takes us. All because of some app on my phone. (Which I’m happily deleting right now by the way…)
