I'm currently working with a dating coach and it's changing my life, my heart and obviously my dating experience. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am about having made that decision and to me it's a very small investment for what I'm getting out of it.
We've all read the books. Many times. But for me I missed a very important direction. To be kind. Very very kind. to the men when they ask us out. When we respond by text, be very feminine kind.
You see, I thought being non-challant like I don't really care was the way to go. It's not really. Sure I don't respond to texts right away, I don't go on dates last minute, I don't hook up but my tone when I say no is very very very very very very kind.
Like that is such a lovely offer, you're so kind for thinking of that however unfortunately already have plans. Apologies, I wasn't available last night :) (if they called or wanted to see me and I answer their message the next day).
Now that I'm very nice when I can't go on a date with them vs. being kind of annoyed by them means they say, "my bad I asked you last minute. I'll know better next time." I'm an aries which means 99% of the men who dated me probably felt like they dated a very masculine part of me...
I feel more fed by men now, I feel their protective masculine energy is finally something I can cherish and embrace and it gives them such great validation. Yes even when it takes me 6 hours to reply to a text because I rewrite it 4 x to make sure it's what a my inner grace kelly would say (vs. a strong independent Beyonce).
So here's what I want to say across the board to 'what should I write back? questions...pause, and meditate on what your own inner Grace Kelly would write back and wait...I write texts but don't send them and reread them an hour later. Does it sound kind? Is it more than 5 words? Am I answering a question? Did he ask for a date? Did he ask a question? you know... take your time.
