A walk on the beach, dinner?
Meet for coffee. Talk and then see if that leads to wanting to continue our discussion.
Love the idea of a movie . Gives you a shared experience to build a conversation on.
Meet for coffee and light conversation.
Just some casual coffee at Starbuck's, to start out an informal conversation.
For our first date, which is getting to know each other, let's meet on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00 pm at a nice comfortable coffee shop of your choosing, or I can choose if you prefer. Enjoy a few hours in conversation learning about each other. At the end of all this nice conversation, I'm sure we will have built up an appetite for dinner. If you are willing and hungry, we could go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Otherwise, we could make dinner another outing date.
It might seem simple but I really like the opportunity to sit across the table from someone and connect through conversation first. I like to have a chance to get past the posing pretty fast and move into sharing our our lives, learning about the other person, exploring our commonalities and what fun we might find in our differences.
Meet in nice place and find out about each other
First of all I would prefer if my date lived closer than 100 miles. If we want to be spontaneous & go grab lunch it would be much better if you lived nearby. I believe in first impressions although we'll both be nervous so coffee, tea or something quick would be ideal. That way we're not committing ourselves at the time.
Meet somewhere mutual to get to know each other
Coffee meet & greets are my preference for an initial meeting. If there's chemistry then move forward.
Snacks and a glass of wine.
Go out for coffee, talk and get to know each other.
Meeting for coffee is always a good idea for a first date.

All relationships start with friendship. Over a cup of tea or coffee and maybe some snacks to munch on while you tell me all about yourself. Then, how about a brisk walk on the marina or a park . I love nature.

Meeting someone new is usually fun and it is very easy for me to talk to strangers, however, since we are strangers a café is neutral. As much as other options sound enticing, I am most comfortable in a public local.

A nice 1st meetup would be to chat over good coffee, with a lot of smiling.
