Well, this is my second attempt at a blog entry. Don't know what happened to the first, nor does the website. I'm pretty patient these days. "Waiting" in New Orleans is the norm, as is confusion. Thank goodness I have some escape weekends in the near future. This post hurricane lifestyle is becoming weary. I did take advantage of a diversion last weekend. One of my old friends invited me to Cajun country after one of my work presentations. Dressed for success, I joined my friend on his run to the sugarmill. I wasn't warned about climbing up and down ladders at the mill, as the 18 wheeler was tilted 70 degrees for dumping the cane. Imagine the conversation about the city girl in her "J-Lo" glasses and dress boots, climbing in and out of the rig. I think I qualified as a safety hazard. This will be a memory hopefully just a funny in 2o years as it is today. I truly needed a good laugh and a new adventure. I did have a wonderful giggle down to the bottom of my soul!
